Details Abound On Entry Level RTX 2060

Nvidia’s much awaited GPU – the Nvidia RTX 2060 has a ton of gamers and graphic-intensive PC users awaiting its launch with bated breath.

An entry level product, the RTX 2060 is scheduled to be a Turing Ray Tracing GPU that targets the 1080p resolution – which still remains the most popular and widely used resolution amidst gamers across the world.

Videocardz – a site with a history of Nvidia leaks has confirmed that the RTX 2060 will offer a comparable performance to the extremely popular GeForce GTX 1070 Ti.

A while ago, we saw the leaks of images of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Founders edition. As of now, we have the complete picture with specs, release data and pricing.

The company is said to announce the product on the 7th of January 2019 with a price point of $349. It is scheduled to come bundled with either the Battlefield V or Anthem games as free inclusions. The Custom and Founders Edition will both feature the same price tag.

The target date for it to hit the stores is slated to be 15th January 2019.

For our geeky readers, this model is slated to include 120 TMUs and 48 ROPs. Along with, 240 Tensor cores, 1920 CUDA cores and 30 RT Cores.

As per the tests from VideoCardz, the GPU’s performance is said to be comparable to that of the RTX 2070 with RT set to ON.

They managed to score a 90 FPS with RT disabled on Battefield V, on the same game with RT enabled and DLSS disabled – they got a 65 FPS and finally with both RT and DLSS enabled, they got an FPS of 88.

In a similar comparison with the classing GTX 1060, the RTX 2060 seems to be a clear winner.
