Laptop technology has always been at the top in regard to manufacturers continuously trying to come up with something better than their competitors. Companies like Apple, Dell, Amazon and now Huawei consistently launch new technology every year that will entice consumer spending.
Huawei seems to have outdone itself this year with the rollout of the new MateBook 13 which Huawei developed to compete directly with Apple’s MacBook Air and Dell’s new XPS 13. The MateBook 13 is competitively priced yet still has the high-end features that are available in other MateBook products. The newly designed laptop will have a 13″ screen but will be thinner than Apple’s MacBook Air.
Huawei has produced two versions of the MateBook 13, a base model which will have a 8th generation Intel Core processor, 256GB of storage, and integrated graphics. The higher end model will come with more power, more storage and a Nvidia MX150 GPU. Both models will have 8GB of Ram and two USB ports.
The MateBook 13 will still have the fingerprint technology but they have updated the webcam and placed it higher instead of in the keyboard like previously manufactured laptops. Huawei’s price point is going to be competing with Dell, Apple, and the Surface as far as the price point, but Huawei is touting a longer battery life. The MateBook 13 will launch with retailers on January 29, 2019 and is sure to have a strong launch.
If you are looking for a new Android tablet, you might want to check out Huawei’s Mediapad M5 lite. Huawei designed this tablet with families in mind as it contains what a kid’s corner for younger viewers along with sensors that notify the child if they are looking to close to the screen or if they are slouching. This product will also launch around the same time as the MateBook 13.
The Tech industry is constantly giving us exciting products each year that continue to feed our urges to have the best products on the market, and 2019 is already starting to show great things will be coming our way this year.
