Dell is one of the most innovative companies in the Technology Industry as they continue to develop computers and laptops that are faster, more compact, affordable and that last.
The Dell XPS 13 which was originally launched in 2018 was the world’s smallest laptop. The main issue with this particular laptop was that since Dell created a thin Bezel around the screen it was forced to place the webcam below the screen and not above. This created a major flaw for those who used the webcam regularly for business or personal use.
Dell decided that this was not good for their laptop consumers and have fixed this error with the newly launched 2019 model of the XPS 13. Research and develop teams at Dell developed a smaller yet high definition webcam that they placed above the screen just like it had been in the past.
The specifications of this new version of the XPS 13 includes a Whiskey Lake Processor, and the 8th Generation Intel Core (which is focused on increasing Wi-Fi speed). Consumers are able to choose between the 4 GB or 16 GB of Ram and 1920 x 1080 pixel or 3840 x 2,160 pixel displays which both use touch screen technology. The storage of this laptop is 12TB which is amazing for a compact laptop.
The only downside to the Dell XPS 13 is that the battery life is 8 hours which is not a good fit for those who use their laptops daily for work but by fixing the webcam issue, still having a compact size computer with plenty of speed and storage space, and a price point that is affordable by most, the 2019 Dell XPS 13 is sure to be the hot purchase of the year.
